The name and label for our premium lager was inspired by the biggest threat to local wildlife, the cane toad.
Not to be confused with the amphibious pest, our beer is a clean and crisp lager with the right balance of bitterness.

Hit the Toad
Matso's thirst-quenching lager, made with Cascade and Amarillo hops, is working with
Sydney University's taste aversion program run by Dr Rick Shine.The program aims to
protect the native wildlife in Northern Australia against the threat of cane toads. The crisp,
clean bitterness of Hit the Toad makes it a refreshing, easy drinking beer to enjoy after
you've been fighting the dirty cane toads, or just in need of a cold beer!

Our Lychee Beer is a delicious blended ale with some very nice subtle lychee fruit character
coming through on the nose & palate. Highly enjoyable and refreshing on a hot summers
day or live on the wild side and match it up with some home made apple pie & double
whipped cream.

MANGO BEER
The tropics in a bottle!
Matso’s Mango Beer combines full fruit aromas with a subtle sweetness and dry finish.
It’s easy drinking and balanced with a refreshing hint of mango.
Brewed to taste just like a tropical “Broome Time” holiday.
Back in the day, this beer was only brewed during the 'build up' to the wet season when the local trees were heavy with fruit – but by popular demand, we brew it year round now.
